ICE-ASI Accredited Programmes from Across the Globe

Certificate in ASI® (CASI) by CLASI

The CLASI CASI program is developed and taught by direct successors of Dr. Ayres, led by global experts with over 30 years of clinical, scientific, and training experience in Sensory Integration.

With many decades of experience in continuing education in ASI, the leaders at CLASI have developed the Certificate in Ayres Sensory Integration (CASI) with an emphasis on optimal learning methods for the various types of content.

This flexible and comprehensive program includes 4 asynchronous online modules and 2 onsite modules, designed to equip professionals with in-depth knowledge and practical skills in Ayres’ Sensory Integration.

Delivered in collaboration with local SI organizations, the program is taught in approximately 30 countries worldwide, offering a globally recognized certificate that meets international standards for excellence in Sensory Integration education.

ASI®Therapy ORIGINAL by GSIÖ

The Austrian Society for Sensory Integration (GSIÖ) offers the ASI® Therapy ORIGINAL program, which has been a cornerstone of Ayres’ Sensory Integration training since 2002. As of 2018, the program incorporates CLASI modules 1-5, ensuring a robust and globally recognised educational framework.

This program is delivered in German and English across several European countries, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application.  Our two  signature courses include SI101, an introductory course providing foundational knowledge, and a 6-day hands-on intervention course, where participants work directly with children, receiving real-time feedback to hone skills for practice.

With a blend of online and on-site sessions, observation opportunities, and supervision requirements, this program equips therapists with the expertise needed for excellence in Ayres’ Sensory Integration.

SAISI ASI® Certification Programme

The South African Institute for Sensory Integration (SAISI) offers a structured certification pathway in Ayres Sensory Integration® (ASI®).

The programme consists of four courses: Theory, Test Administration (online and on-site), Interpretation (on-site), and Intervention (on-site).

Each course includes specific pre- and post-course activities and must be completed within a seven-year timeframe.

The program now features the EASI® assessment, aligning with international standards set by ICE-ASI, and includes norms from South African children to ensure fairness and cost-effectiveness.

Graduates who successfully complete the program, including the ASI® Fidelity Measure video, earn the "ASI® Trained SAISI" certificate and are listed in SAISI’s directory of ASI®-trained therapists learning that meets  standards of excellence in Ayres' Sensory Integration.

ICE-ASI Minimal Educational Standards

Because of the complex nature of Sensory Integration theory and intervention, occupational

therapists and other professionals are seeking information to build their knowledge and skills in this area through postgraduate continuing education.

These standards are a result of the SI organizations' critical concern about how to  maintain the integrity of the body of work of Dr Ayres's SI,  and how to support best practice in occupational therapy.

First, we will introduce the minimal standards for education or training in ASI® that ICE-ASI published in AOTA's journal OT Practice 2017.

Second, we will introduce the ASI® certification programs that have been accredited by ICE-ASI.
